"Hello, Welcome to T.G.I Chili bee's my name is Miranda and I'll be your waitress for tonight. Can I start you guys off with any drinks?" A young, dark haired woman began to answer,"Uh, I think I'll have a water..." but was quickly cut off by one of her male counterparts. "Aw, come on Francine! You said we were here to celebrate! How about this, drinks on me!" Everyone at Francine's table cheered and started ordering an abundance of alcohol. "Thanks Jeff, I think I'll have a margarita." replied Francine. She smiled as she saw all of her co-workers ordering to their hearts desire to the sudden dismay of Jeff. "I just can't believe you got that promotion Frankie.", said a blonde woman from across the table. She had a tinge of jealousy in her voice. Frankie didn't care though, she was just happy to finally be in this place in her career. Detective Francine M. Buenevidez, it was a title she had strived for all her life.
She looked about the restaurant with much curiosity. It was her first time at T.G.I Chili bee's, she tried to keep her expectations low but the commercials had convinced her otherwise. The atmosphere was alive with energy, the music, the stain glass lamps, and even large screen TV's adorned the establishment. If a house party and a restaurant had a kid this would be the result. There were two women and three men sitting at Frankie's table. Al of them seemed to be having a good time, well except for Jeff anyway, he had ordered himself a water. She smiled, but then she suddenly noticed something, or someone, out of the corner of her eye. Way on the other side of the restaurant she saw a man. He obviously worked here, seeing as he was clearing out tables, but he wasn't wearing a regular uniform like the other employees. Instead he had on a white coat that fell a little past his mid thigh and he had on a pair of darkish pants. What really caught her attention though was the fact that he had a paper bag on his head. If Frankie's niece had been there she would have confused him for Chester's dad from "The Fairly Odd Parents". Being in criminal studies though had taught Frankie to be suspicious. She thought to herself, He's probably an ex-convict or something. Her thoughts were quickly cut off though by the pleasant arrival of her food. The quick service impressed Frankie, as she was greeted by a hot plate of chicken carbonara. She started to dig in, much to her dismay however, the food was rather plain tasting and honestly just sub-par. Frankie was a already disappointed as it was, but little did she know it was about to get much worse. She was mid-way through here second bite when she looked down at her food and realized it was moving. Her eyes narrowed and her face grew bright red as she watched a large roach clumsily emerge from the noodles.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen we see our ex-convict friend for whom we will temporarily refer to as Chester's dad. All around him the kitchen was an absolute mess, its honestly no wonder vermin were able to get into the food. Chester's dad looked in dismay at the sad excuse for this restaurant's one and only chef. A pimply teenage boy blasting loud music into his headphones. To actually call him a chef was a grotesque over statement, for his only real job is to stick frozen pre-made meals into a microwave."Couldn't T.G.I Chili bee's technically be sued for saying their food is cooked on an open fire grill?" asked Chester's dad. "Couldn't you technically be fired for talking to me instead of doing your job?" questioned the teenager,"Now leave me alone, dude. I'm trying to listen to Panic! at the Disco."
Chester's dad sighed, then contemplated suicide, but before he could finish his suicidal thoughts though, he heard a scream, followed by some yelling, followed by a panicked Miranda entering the kitchen. "A woman at table eight found a roach in her food!" exclaimed Miranda. She continued,"That's the second time this week, Kevin!" Miranda was getting angrier by the minute. Kevin, the cook, cussed under his breath,"Damn it! I better not lose my job over this! The manager said if it happened one more time that I was going to get laid off." Chester's dad was getting angry himself,"You had one job Kevin!" Kevin looked down for a moment,"Say, whats his face, you don't have any strikes on your record, do you?" Chester's dad looked confused, did Kevin really just call him whats his face? "Hey, ladies!" said Miranda,"Someone's gotta go out there and explain to that woman exactly why there's a roach in her food, and it sure as heck isn't gonna be me." Kevin looked helplessly over to Chester's dad with by far the most inaffective puppy dog eyes anyone could ever imagine. "I know what you're trying to do, and the answer is no."said Chester's dad. Kevin started to plead, "Aw come on man! Just this one time?" The answer remained the same though. "Well fine then, I'll just tell the manager about the time you spied on Miranda in the dressing room!" threatened Kevin. "That was you, stupid! I was the one who caught you!" replied Chester's dad. Miranda started crying. "It doesn't matter, its not like he's gonna believe you anyway. Now get out there before I lose my freaking job!" Kevin was infuriated now. As much as Chester's dad hated to admit it Kevin had a point. There was no way the manager was going to believe him, even though Kevin was obviously lying. He really did have no choice. Just like that, Chester's dad mustered up all the dignity he had left, pushed open the kitchen doors, and made his way to table eight, every step growing heavier than the last. He looked up and saw what he was certain to be the unlucky customer of the day. She glared right at him. Her hair was jet black, and her eyes as deep and dark as the night sky. Every ounce of dignity left him in a second and his legs turned to jelly. He was about to be yelled at by one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.
